Parts of a Home is a five-part class series designed to give REALTORS® a practical understanding of how a home is built, from the ground up. Each class will focus on a different stage or system of the home, helping agents better understand the properties they work with and confidently answer common client questions.

 

As the second session of ICAAR's Parts of a Home series, this class focuses on the framing portion of the homebuilding process. Industry professionals will explain how a home’s structural framework comes together, including roof trusses, floor joists versus floor trusses, and panelized wall systems. REALTORS® will gain a practical understanding of these components, how they differ, and what to know when discussing new and existing homes with clients. This class is planned in partnership with the Greater Iowa City Area Home Builders Association
