Parts of a Home is a five-part class series designed to give REALTORS® a practical understanding of how a home is built, from the ground up. Each class will focus on a different stage or system of the home, helping agents better understand the properties they work with and confidently answer common client questions.

Kick off the series with a look at what happens before and below the build. This class will cover the basics of site selection, engineering, and foundations, including factors to consider when evaluating a building site, load transfers, soil and sand considerations, and common misconceptions. We’ll also explore how foundations are constructed, including when certain steps such concrete pouring can be completed, what additional steps are needed for cold-weather pours, and other foundation basics REALTORS® should understand.
